I can almost hear the sleigh bells ringing as Father Christmas is preparing for his arrival in just a few weeks time and I am now feeling thoroughly festive and ready to enjoy this holiday with my family and friends, thanks to Tesco Food and F&F.
Is it even Christmas if your cupboards aren’t brimming with festive food and your fridge isn’t groaning under the weight of delicious titbits to enjoy and share. We are a family of vegetarians so every year I am faced with the same question – “So what do you eat on Christmas Day if you don’t have turkey?” Trust me, we eat very well and will always whip up something veggie-friendly and scrumptious to sit alongside mountains of stuffing, roast potatoes and vegetables. If you too wish to opt for something vegetarian this year to crown your dining table then Tesco Food have loads of delicious vegetarian Christmas main courses online to give you some inspiration, and I vow that whatever you make, it will have everyone reaching for a portion – not just the veggies around the table. I tested out making the beetroot & goats cheese tarte tatin and I can safely say it was a huge hit and so simple. It would work perfectly cold as leftovers the next day too!
So once the main course is consumed and you think there isn’t possibly any more room for food…the mince pies come out. An afternoon on the sofa watching Home Alone wouldn’t be complete without a mince pie or three! As well as your traditional flavour, Tesco Food have given this Christmas classic as little bit of a twist this year by introducing a new combination of flavours – Spiced Rum or Rhubarb & Stem Ginger. Which would you pick? And more importantly, are you a custard or cream kinda person? For me, it is all about the custard!
But let’s not forget about the Christmas PJs which are an obligatory part of this festive period! F&F have an adorable selection of cosy sets for mum as well as sweet mini-me matching outfits for the little people on your life! I had so much fun decorating our Christmas tree with my cheeky little elves…although I think Florence was more interested in eating the mince pies than hanging the baubles. If you are shopping in Tesco in the run up to Christmas then definitely pop by their F&F department as it is rife with great little stocking fillers, last minute xmas ideas and Secret Santa presents for your friends in the office! They’ve also got some lovely sparkly, sequinned Christmas jumpers which I just might have to get for myself to wear on the big day!
