Now we are well into November I feel it is acceptable to start mentioning the C word….so, Christmas Christmas Christmas!! Where as some people have probably already started (and finished!) their Christmas shopping, I on the other hand like to leave it a little while longer so I am somewhere in-between composing my shopping list and scouring the shops for inspiration.
I have however managed to tick one person off my ‘to buy for’ list and that is my good friend. With two little children under my wing all day, every day, I find it ridiculously hard to find time to head to the shops to properly look for Christmas gifts. The minute I stop the buggy to peruse the shelves I tend to have a toddler making a beeline for those twinkly Christmas lights precariously wrapped round a giant tree. Then the baby needs a feed and I feel defeated before it is even midday. So popping online once the babes are in bed is the best solution all round and thanks for Boots.com and their extensive Christmas gift guides – friends, partners, your mum-in-law and the little people are all catered for! Whether it is just a sweet little stocking filler you are after, or something a little bit fancier, you are bound to find some inspiration here – and maybe a few wish-list items for yourself as well.
I am working with Boots on their 50 Days of Christmas campaign so was given the chance to pick out some Christmas gifts for a family member or friend this season to help showcase the vast array of presents you could pick – and there is so much more than your staple perfume or aftershave gift set!
Boots stock a lovely selection of branded bits in their Christmas gift range and one brand I was instantly drawn to was Joules. My friend loves their bold prints and colourful deigns so knew instantly I would find some goodies in the Christmas gifts for her section! I opted for this trio of cake tins (as, like me, she is an keen baker) and this cute mug set as you can never have too many mugs for when visitors call, and tea always tastes better from a pretty mug right?!
I love the fact that Boots has food and confectionery items too which sometimes makes a nice change and something you might not expect to discover in the aisles of Boots. Everyone knows that Christmas is the season for indulgence so I thought my friend would enjoy making a sumptuous hot chocolate to enjoy in one of her new mugs – hello on-so-chocolatey chocolate beads to melt into milk!
Finally, to make sure her Christmas was completely cosy and festively fragranced, I opted for this Yankee Candle Winter Bundle Gift Set which is guaranteed to make any home smell wonderfully Wintery and create a welcoming atmosphere – the little votive candles would make a glowing centrepiece for your Christmas dinner table.
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Have you got your eyes on anything from Boots this year?
