As you may be aware, I have been working with Baby Jogger all this year on some really exciting launches and have loved test-driving a few of their most popular buggies whilst sharing with you some really useful tips and tricks when it comes to heading out with your little one/s to make parenthood life that little bit less stressful.
Last week I attended a really fantastic event in London to help bring this campaign to a close and celebrate the launch of the latest (and probably most exciting) set of wheels to come from the Baby Jogger brand – the City Select LUX. There was of course cake, lots of it, non-alcoholic cocktails for me (woo hoo!) and a great opportunity to chat all things buggy-related and expanding families with the team and fellow bloggers. It was lovely to meet so many other ‘mums from the internet’ (avoiding the term ‘mummy blogger’ at all costs!) as well as Helen Skelton who, as a mum of two little boys, was able to share with us a candid account of how she has adapted to her growing family and how invaluable the City Select LUX has been for her. She chatted about how the 20+ riding options has been really helpful to her when heading out with both little ones, making each ride that little bit different and how the glider board and bench seat are an amazing addition to help contain an energetic toddler.
The City Select LUX is the stroller that grows with your family. As the arrival of my second baby is only a few months away, I have of course been thinking more and more about how I am going to tackle venturing out with baby and toddler in tow. I am excited to say that I have the City Select LUX all set up and ready to go and I will have a full review on this latest model up next week…(I may just need to borrow one of Florence’s dolls to give the test-drive the full two-children-experience!). But in a nutshell, this is why I think the City Select LUX sounds like a dream contraption for a parent with two or more children. It is so versatile so can be used as a single or double buggy and the seats are suitable from birth so you aren’t left with a surplus carry cot after six months. It can be converted to a triple stroller with the second seat and the glider board. It folds down pretty tiny which is impressive for a double stroller and the best bit is, you don’t need to take the seats off…they fold down on the chassis. Amazing! It has a deceleration and parking brake on the handlebar so you can control these easily with your fingertips, and as you would expect with all the Baby Jogger strollers, it has awesome all-wheel suspension. I literally cannot wait to take it for a spin so keep your eyes peeled for that review next week.
