New from Clarins – the Graphik Collection

I always feel a bit resistant to start mentioning Autumn Winter makeup collections when we are (supposedly) in the height of Summer, but with the grey weather recently all I am craving right now is blankets, cosy evenings, chai lattes and Autumnal walks. Therefore I feel I am allowed to share with you the latest collection from Clarins to take us into those crisp-leaf seasons and give your Summer makeup a little push to the side.

Their Graphik Collection is all about the eyes with shimmery, magnetic hues and graphic lines. Cheeks and lips are staying soft, natural with a healthy glow thanks to a new blush and a line up of new lip liners and Joli Rouge lipsticks.

Firstly, for the eyes there is Clarins classic 4-colour eyeshadow palette which can be used wet or dry to vary the intensity and is made up of two rich green shades, a dark matte grey and a soft pink powder. All beautify complementary, they are lovely to add something a little deeper and richer to the eyes during the darker months. I always really rate these eyeshadows and love that you have such a choice of finishes and shades, it is perfect to mix your look up and keep it light or more intense. They have also released their Graphik Ink Liner which is a felt tip, tapered pen to precisely and easily line the eye with a jolt of intense carbon pigment. This liner is super easy to use and wears really well during the day.

Another Ombre Matte cream to powder pot has been introduced in Midnight Blue. I love the texture and finish of these little eye pots – they smooth on so creamily but then dry down to a perfect powder finish that doesn’t budge. It is a great option to create a smokey eye if you don’t want to use black but still want the intensity and drama. The powder has a slight iridescence and feels silky and lightweight on the eye.

Onto the cheeks and lips. The Blush Prodige in Golden Pink keeps your skin looking healthy and glowing without drawing too much attention away from the eyes. It is silky and light and adds a lovely luminosity to the skin. Two new shades of Lipliner Pencil can be found in this new collection – Roseberry and Red. They are packed full of Jojoba Oil so allow for a smooth and easy application without dragging or pulling your skin. The tip is firm but smooth so is ideal to line, contour or prep your lips ready for the lipsticks.

Speaking of lipsticks…the new Joli Rouge lipsticks in three shades – Deep Red, Litchi and Guava are the perfect Autumn Winter addition to your makeup bag. Time to ditch the nudes and summery coral hues and embrace something a little richer and darker on the lips. The formula of these lipsticks is so gorgeous – ultra-moisturising, soft to apply leaving you with a satin finish and a radiant slick of colour that lasts impressively well throughout the day.
