Jo Malone Basil & Neroli Collection

“A London lark, London at its most fashionably young and fun. Flirt with oh-so floral neroli and a delicious wink of basil. Quintessentially British, always playful. Fresh, fun, full of adventure”.

You might hear basil and think what an odd scent to put in a fragrance or home candle, but trust me when I say that Jo Malone London have done it again with this gorgeous combination of sensual, sophisticated floral and unmistakable basil. The brand totally broke the rules, when it came to unique fragrance combinations, over 20 years ago when they released Lime, Basil & Mandarin and now they plan to do it again with their first citrus floral scent.

Basil & Neroli can best be described as lively and fresh. It has been inspired by London’s heritage and vibrant spirit and reflects the botanical gardens and leafy squares hidden within the urban spaces. It feels original and carefree. The top notes of basil are fresh and generous. The heart of the fragrance is the neroli and orange bigarade which adds a floral glow and bitter zest-iness to the scent. Finally the base notes of white musk and vetiver envelop the green and orange accents. The fragrance is the perfect transitional pick to take you into Autumn time and Jo Malone London have magically captured and bottled the freshness and contrast you would experience at a botanical garden in the city.

The Basil & Neroli Collection consists of a home candle, body creme, body & hand wash and two sizes of cologne. All available now on counters and online.

I can practically smell the fragrances through this post! I recently went to an evening with Jo Malone at an event (I've done a post on my blog about her selling the company to Estee Lauder etc). It was so so interesting – do you know about her new brand – Jo Loves? Lauren –

The brand is lovely isn't it and every scent is so unique and different. I know a bit about Jo Loves but haven't tried anything from the brand x
