Shake it Up with the NEW Lance Juicy Shakers for glossy lips* (£18) | available online

I don’t think I have used a Lancome lip product since my schooldays and it was all about having a Juicy Tube or two hidden in your blazer pocket. Oh the nostalgia! Now Lancome are shaking things up a bit. With a subtle nod to the original Juicy Tubes they have launched the ever-so-fun Juicy Shakers in 14 playful shades and flavours.

This revolutionary product houses a bi-phased formula of nourishing lip oils (sweet almond oil, omega 3 and cranberry oil) and beautiful pigments which require shaking up and combining before you apply the gloss onto your lips. I love the fun packaging of these lip glosses influenced by the familiar shape of a cocktail shaker. The top of the shaker hides a cushion-y soft applicator which absorbs just the right amount of pigment during the ‘shake up’ to distribute a lovely juicy gloss of colour onto your lips. The feel of this applicator is quite unique and after reading Fleur’s review of these she totally hit the nail on the head by describing it as a ‘soft gummy sweet’. The applicator does feel like one of those Haribo tangfastic sweets which is weirdly wonderful! It is tapered so hugs the contours of your lips and makes applying these glosses ultra-easy for when you are on the go.

Despite being described as a gloss, these Juicy Shakers are definitely more of a oily balm which leaves a sheer tint on your lips without the stickiness or heaviness of a standard gloss. The sponge imparts a lovely diffused wash of colour which is a lot less vibrant than the formula you can see in the shaker. It is the perfect option to wear alone for a paired-down makeup look or layered on top of a satin or matte lipstick to add a touch of shine and shimmer.

Each Juicy Shaker has a deliciously different scent ranging from the fruity, cakey and caramel-like which will leave you applying these all day long especially as the formula of oils keeps your lips gorgeously nourished and soft with each application.

Are you going to be shaking up these new Juicy glosses?

These look soooooo nice on you! Wish I could pull off glossy lips but sadly I just look like i've been gobbling down oily food.

I do love mine but I find that my lips drink up the oil very quickly and the gloss disappears, so I tend to use it more like a lip balm than as a make-up product x
