The Dolce Vita colour-coded eyeshadow palette £38
available from Charlotte Tilbury online and in Selfridges

The moment I saw Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup range in real life on her counter in Selfridges and I laid eyes on those decadent quads of eyeshadows, I knew this would be the start of makeup love affair. Charlotte’s approach to beauty products is all about effortlessness and ease, taking you from desk to disco in an instance and assembling harmonious shades together to help you shop the most complimentary colours for your eyes and skin tone. The Charlotte Tilbury website and Youtube videos are awash with handy application tips and tutorials to get the best out of her products which makes her brand extremely personable and something that I was keen to invest in.

The moment I saw and swatched The Dolce Vita eye palette it instantly went to the top of my beauty wish list. The colours work so well together and are just the shades I love to wear for a subtle or more dramatic look. The four eyeshadows all have a separate role – prime, enhance, smoke and disco, and can be worn alone or together to create a multitude of looks. I love the warmth of the rich plum/coppery shade and the contrasting pearly-white shadow which is amazing at highlighting the brow bone and inner corner of your eyes. The glittery-gold “disco” shade is gorgeous, not too chunky with zero fall-out and is perfect packed over another colour or worn alone for a golden shimmer. These eyeshadows are buttery-soft and velvet-like to apply and blend beautifully together. I think they are worth every penny and I will definitely be adding another palette to my overflowing collection very soon!

Have you tried anything from the Charlotte Tilbury range yet?
