Two months ago I set myself a challenge. After constantly subjecting my hair to a barrage of heat and bleach, I decided to stop. Stop completely and embrace my natural curls. At first I thought this was a daunting task and I would fall at the first hurdle but eight weeks on and my hair hasn’t even come close to a hair dryer or a singeing GHD. My focus was always yesterday’s hair appointment where I would treat myself to fresh highlights and a blow dry for the first time in an agonising two months. After a full head of icy blonde highlights, a creamy toner and a sleek, glossy bow dry, I felt like a new woman! Every curly-haired, heat-free day was completely worth it just to hear my hairdresser comment on how good a condition my hair was in and how much it had grown. I love my natural curls and will definitely be laying off the heat again in the next few weeks but for now I am quite enjoying my smooth locks and swishy new do…

If I had lovely naturally curly hair I'd lay off the heat as well but sadly I have straight hair that just hangs without anything done to it! 🙁
Your hair looks lovely though.

Looks so gorgeous you really do suit those lovely icy blonde tones! I also have curly hair and try to do what you've done and give it a break but it's so hard to resist the GHDs!

Absolutely beautiful hair! I'm so jealous. Can you do a post on what products works best for you when you have it straight and when you leave it natural? I have similar type of hair, mine is thick, naturally curly and unruly so I would love to know your hair secrets! X
You look gorgeous! I have naturally curly hair too but I hate it, so I'd love it if you showed your favourite products for preventing frizz:)xx

Every now and then I do the same and go off heat for a couple of weeks just so my hair can have a breather! I'm actually having a no heat day today before I get my hair cut on Tuesday 🙂

I've been following your blog for awhile now and I can't get over how perfectly you always do your eye makeup. Could you show how you usually apply your makeup? Pics, worded tutorial, video, any of it would be great!

Icy blonde suits you so well. It looks in great condition, I would love to be able to leave my hair from now until the wedding, but my hair is just natural frizzy bouffant :((xx
Icy blonde looks really pretty 🙂
I've dyed my hair so much over the past year (dark brown, light blonde, bleached, Ariel red, auburn, natural red, medium blonde) but I finally decided to leave mine alone and just dye it back to a (mostly) natural blonde shade and I'll only be dyeing it once more (to use up the last packet of dye) and growing it out. I don't often leave mine to dry naturally purely because of my job, it needs to be up and neat all the time and I don't often have enough time to leave it alone as it takes around 6 hours to dry naturally… I have very thick hair. BUT I'm easing off with the straighteners and I can already see a huge difference in my hair!
Good luck with yours 🙂
