Wearing Androgen on my cheeks and lips. A coral cream pigment from Illamasqua
currently in the sale!

Illamasqua’s cream pigments are a rare breed of product that can be worn and used practically any way your heart desires. This intense colour pigment is a completely matte, crease and water resistant option for eyes, cheeks, lips and the body and can be worn opaque or sheered out for varying degrees of intensity. Androgen is a gorgeous bright pink coral shade that is equally wonderful when worn as a cream blush or a lip stain. In the pan, the consistency of the cream pigment is quite solid and ungiving and it takes a while and the warmth of your fingers to transform it into a more silky, usable texture.

Blending the colour onto your skin with your fingers is definitely the best technique when using the cream pigment as otherwise it can be quite tough to apply and using a brush can cause it to go a little patchy. As the texture would suggest, the finish is pretty matte, so if you like a more dewy glow you could always layer a cream highlighter over the top – I used Illamasqua’s Gleam in Aurora above.

As a lip colour, Androgen is a little trickier to use but gives a lovely result providing your lips are well prepped and you apply the pigment with some balm before or gloss on top. The illamasqua pigments are the epitome of versatility when it comes to a multi-purpose product and are great, dinky little pots to carry around with you if you are on the quest to minimise your makeup bag!

Have you tried any of the Illamasqua pigments?

When I bought things from their website they didn't have as much in the sale, I'm really annoyed now because this looks so nice on you! I just looked now and they're all out of stock. I'll have to keep a look out!

I bought Hollow in the 50% off for contouring/eye colour but this one is great for cheeks and lips as you well demonstrated.

But I can't go onto the site to buy it as I know it will not be the only thing I come out with!

This is such a beautiful colour! I have never thought of trying one of their cream pigments before. I just jumped onto the website thinking I might pick this up as it's in the sale but it's out of stock 🙁

Lovely colour and the packaging is gorgeous. Do you find it makes your face a bit shiny and is it good to wear in hot weather, like do you think it is the type of makeup that would melt off??
    Great post btw <3

This is so gorgeous! I love cream blush in the summer, I'm surprised it's got a matte finish but I'd just wear a highlighter anyway. It's a lovely shade!

This is a really lovely colour on you!! I've been using the same mineral makeup for such a long time that I'm wary of using cream or oily products on my skin (I think it'll just slip right off, my skin is naturally really quite oily) but it looks really, really pretty on you.!

I love the Illamasqua Cream Pigments as blushes or face paints but I find them too creasy on the eyes. This looks very pretty on you xx
