MAC Archie’s Girls ‘Flatter Me’ Pearlmatte face powder £21.50

Exclusively available from Selfridges (at the moment!)

I can’t remember the last time I properly indulged in a new MAC collection. I glanced at the Marilyn Monroe release and got semi-excited by the new viva glam lipsticks, but I have been fairly reserved and indifferent for some time now. That was until I spotted the new Archie’s Girls collection in Selfridges the other day and by soul was sold! And consequently, as a little Valentine’s treat, I was spoilt with a few much needed makeup necessities including this pearlmatte face powder from the new range. I mean, what says I love you more than a pink heart-embossed blusher?!

The Flatter Me face powder is as pretty on the face as it is in the compact. The base powder is a gorgeous, pearly-pink iridescent shade embossed with cute coral-toned hearts that create a beautiful shimmery colour once swirled together. It is a little similar to Benefit’s Coralista or MAC’s Style blush, but slightly more warming and less golden on your complexion. The texture is silky and smooth and give your cheeks a luminous flush of colour and radiance. It is one of the clever little products that could easily be used solely as a highlighter with a soft application or purely as a blusher if you singled out the coral hearts but I much prefer the swirl-it-all-together method and adore the finish it gives. Clearly inspired by my coral cheeks I decided to unearth my Costa Chic lipstick from MAC which is the best coral lipstick and one of my all time favourites! It seemed like the obvious combination!

Have you been tempted by the new MAC Archie’s Girls collection?

I love this! I added it to my basket when the collection was released exclusively on Selfridges website but removed it, as I thought I just like the cuteness of it (and had a load of lipsticks in basket!). Wish I got it now, it looks lovely xx

I love how this looks on you but overall, I'm not fussed on Archie's girls collection, especially as it doesn't really have a UK identity. Maybe we should've had a Beano collection πŸ˜‰
