Lunchtime purchases

I am sure I am not alone when I say that I can never just ‘pop’ into Boots for a packet of tissues without leaving with a new lipstick or a fresh addition to my haircare collection. And when Topshop is conveniently located directly opposite, it would be rude to bypass without having a quick browse of their latest makeup offerings. This was the situation that arose yesterday when I simply popped out for a quick chai tea latte to go and ended up returning with the following lunchtime purchases…

Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I already have this brush in my collection and have used it pretty much every day for as long as I care to remember. It is the most perfect brush for buffing in your foundation and it gives your base a flawless finish. I purchased a backup just incase the unmentionable happens; my current one goes missing, it suddenly becomes out of stock everywhere. I just like to be prepared!

VO5 Give Me Moisture Hot Oil
This is one of those products I have read rave reviews about for months now but somehow convinced myself that I don’t need it/it won’t be beneficial for my hair. I remember using hot oil treatments on my hair when I was a teen so I am looking forward to reminiscing and giving this a whirl.

Topshop Lip Pencil in Coy
I have no idea why it has taken me quite so long to pick up this little beauty. It is peachy. It is pink. And it is a lip product! I love the Topshop lipstick range so am excited to try out this lip pencil out and no doubt a review will follow shortly!

Have you tried any of these products? And please tell me that I am not the only one to go into Boots for one thing and to come out with a basketful of beauty products?!

I have been using the Real Technique's buffing brush for applying my foundation but might give the stippling brush a go if this is even better. Hopefully my local Boots has it when I head down this week! x

  20. 20th January 2013 / 6:01 pm

Boots is right next door to Topshop in my local shopping area too! I think it's a ploy to make everything so ridiculously tempting. I'd love to try out the hot oil xx

  21. 20th January 2013 / 7:18 pm

Nope you are definitely NOT the only one to do that!!! hehe! πŸ™‚ Great buys! I've just bought myself the Real Techniques Stippling Brush and it is by far THE MOST AMAZING brush I have EVER used!!!! I also have the foundation and blush brushes (I'm yet to use the blush one!) and I just love how soft they feel against my skin ;0)

That Topshop crayon looks gorge too, I only have nail polishes from Topshop as ours doesn't sell much make up! πŸ™ Probably a good thing tho!

Can't wait for a review of the hot oil as that's something I've never tried and like you I don't thnk my hair needs it! lol πŸ™‚

Great pictures as ever Milly xxx
