Daniel Galvin Junior organic detox hair treatment

Early this week I was invited to the Daniel Galvin Junior salon to experience an organic detox hair treatment that promised to leave me with enviable shine and smooth, soft locks. The salon was everything I expected it to be considering I had just stepped off Sloane Street into the majestic hub of Belgravia. The chic black and white exterior made the salon instantly recognisable as I approached and the contrasting decor continued inside with ridiculously sumptuous lazyboy-like chairs lined up in front of sparkling porcelain sinks. Daniel Galvin Junior himself greeted me upon arrival and talked me through the treatment, giving me hope that my colour-processed hair would soon be lavished with shine and bounce-whilst-you-walk volume. My treatment began with a detoxifying shampoo which was applied whilst I reclined in my chair, complete with the addition of a back massager and elevating foot rest (even Chandler and Joey would be jealous of that!) My hair was then slathered with the Detox Masque and massaged into my scalp before being gathered up ready for the steamer. I was left to steam for 20 minutes to allow the treatment to really penetrate my hair cuticles and for it to ‘do its thang’, so I kicked back with a pot of tea and a stack of glossies. Before I knew it, twenty minutes had passed and I was back in the chair-of-comfort having my treatment washed off and an additional gloss put over my locks to help achieve that mirror-like finish. My hair was then attended to by Joseph who proceeded to curl, roll, pull and calm my hair into a sleek style with body and movement throughout the ends. Mirror-shine and a glossy finish is always agonisingly hard to achieve with blonde hair but I was really pleased with how healthy and shiny my hair looked after the treatment – not to mention how soft and smooth it felt. I definitely felt it warranted an outing more glamorous than a journey back to Essex!

The Organic Head Detox Masque is a deep-conditioning treatment that revives coloured hair but also adds volume whilst cleansing the scalp to remove any product build-up. It is packed full of nourishing, sweet-smelling ingredients such as coconut, argan, orange and castor oil as well as vitamin C and E to aid hair growth and colour protection. If you wanted to treat yourself to the detox treatment in the salon, and hang out with the likes of Millie Mackintosh and Kelly Brook, then it is a real indulgence. But alternatively you can purchase the hair masque and recreate a little corner of luxury at home for a fraction of the price…just without your own personal stylist or back massager I’m afraid!

This sounds like the perfect indulging treatment. As a fellow blonde I find it difficult to get my hair really shiny so this could be the answer to my prayers. I'd love to see a review comparing the hair masque and the actual treatment.

Looks great, have to try it! I'm using an awesome argan oil treatment from pro naturals currently, it's also really good for shine and softness.

Detox treatment for our hair? It really blows my mind whenever I see different types of product that does something special for hair.

I need that product because my hair is really dry. Is this product available online?

I agree with everyone here, you really have a beautiful hair. Like what they say, our hair is our crowing glory so we should take care of it very well.
