Illamasqua Empower’Palette* – £34
Blink (soft beige nude), Synth (iridescent pale pink glitter), Fervent (reddish brown with multi-tonal shimmer) and Slick (charcoal grey metallic)

Generation Q, the latest collection from Illamaqua, is a celebration of self-expression. It breaks though the boundaries and prejudices of the beauty world and proudly glorifies beauty without any limits or discriminations. Along with the magnificent Magnetism lipstick, this new collection brings us two new eyeshadow palettes, Complement and Empower. The Empower palette is a gorgeous arrangement of shadows, perfect for highlighting, priming and defining and comes in a curvaceously sleek compact with a chunky quality and a handy mirror.

Left to right – Blink, Synth, Fervent and Slick

I love the mixture of shades and finishes that Illamasqua have used in this palette, ranging from a creamy matte beige to a rich rusty brown flecked with teal shimmer. Synth is by far my favourite shadow though as it makes the most wonderful highlighting colour for brow bones and the inner corner of your eye. It is such an unique shade with a mesmerising mixture of lilac, pink and silver shimmer suspended in a soft white shadow and has a lovely, smooth consistency. The fact they have also included a liquid metal in this palette makes it so dynamic and versatile for a variety of different looks. Liquid metals are a cream product that ideally can be used anywhere on the body – eyes, cheeks, lips and can be worn alone or used to emphasise and highlight by creating a luminous metallic glow to the skin. Slick is a fabulous colour to wear alone or use as a base for a really exaggerated smokey eye. Perfect for the forthcoming party season!

What are your thoughts of this new range from Illamasqua? Have you treated yourself to anything from the collection?
