Jelly Pong Pong lip frosting in Irish Cream Pavlova – from this month’s Glossybox*

Another month, another Glossybox delivery! July’s beauty box has cleverly coincided with the start of the festival season and contains a mixture of versatile and multi-purpose products to ensure you are ready to rock with the minimal of makeup. I was quite happy with the range of products in this month’s box and I know in particular that many were left reeling with the addition of the HD Brows’ Eyebrow Palette, being the perfect product for shapely brow on-the-go. Having previously received this in an earlier Glossybox, I was more excited to see the cult classic multi-use oil from Nuxe included – Huile Prodigieuse dry oil – which I have wanted to try for a while now. I currently live, breathe and bathe in dry oils so was more than happy to add this mini sample to my collection and put it to the test on a multitude of areas – chapped skin, dry ends and ragged cuticles.

Another product that instantly pleased me was Jelly Pong Pong’s lip frosting in Irish Cream Pavlova. Described as a multi-use cream gloss, this product can be used as a lip colour or a cheek tint for a flush of colour, ideal for perking up sleep-deprived skin! This playful pink cream gloss is laced with a pretty, iridescent shimmer with adds fullness to the lips and a touch of luminosity to the cheeks.

There are many aspects I really like about this product – the colour, the smell and the shimmer, as well as a few I don’t – namely the price and the overly-sticky consistency. £10 for 15ml makes it a triumphant product to find in a beauty box, but I am not sure the results totally justify the price tag. The sticky formula of the lip frosting made it hard work to use on my cheeks, leaving me in fear that with one gust of wind my hair would be glued to my face. But once applied (less is definitely more) and gently rubbed in, it does leave you with a sweet, rosy tint. And as a lip product, it works beautifully. The colour is gorgeous and it has just the right about of shimmer to make it a wearable lip colour, day or night. Oh and did I mention the smell – picture a rich cream pavlova topped with tumbling fruit and sticky meringue and you are nearly at the same sensuory level as me right now!

Did you receive this month’s Glossybox? What was your favourite product?

It's a lovely colour, and I love the slight shimmer. But the price tag and sticky side of things makes me want to swerve the product.
Shame as I love the packaging and name.

I completely agree with you about using it on the cheeks – it is just far too sticky to use on your face! x

I too got this and love the smell and the colour but I agree the price is not justified which is why I am pleased this came with GB as it is not something I would purchase alone. I also agree that this is not something I think could be worn on the cheeks due to the sticky nature of the product which is a shame. But having seen this on you reminds me of why I love the colour!

I got this too and I LOVED it. The colour payoff is just enough for a lip tint.
