Adventuring with the Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller

Another day, another buggy and this time around you are joining me out and about with the award winning City Mini GT Stroller from Baby Jogger. It is one of those snazzy-looking three-wheeler buggies that is tough on any terrain and manoeuvres like a dream! Even though this particular product isn’t intended for you to put your trainers on and start running with it, it does fit in perfectly with a family who has an active lifestyle, so this super stroller is such a welcome addition for us.

The City Mini GT is available in 5 different colour ways and of course I opted for the teal/grey option which is probably the most jazzy of the five and definitely the most fun. If you have read my recent review of the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller then you can expect a lot of the same features with this City Mini GT one – quick fold technology, so it literally collapses to a portable size with a tug of a handle, a reclining seat ideal for a napping baby, a huge SPF50+ canopy hood with two peek-a-boo windows to keep an eye on your snoozing tot and front wheel suspension.

But it is the few additional luxuries that this stroller boasts that sets it apart from the rest of the crowd and really makes it such a functional, fantastic everyday stroller – whether you are just running errands, heading to the shops or power-walking cross country! The wheel suspension makes it ideal for handling bumpy roads, uneven pavements, grassy areas or even that annoying shingle and is so light and reactive to push about, you can even handle it one-handed – leaving you free to carry your soya milk macchiato in the other! The adjustable handlebar is brilliant if you are sharing the buggy with a particularly taller partner and the parking brake is hand-operated just by the side of the handlebar which is really useful actually. Possibly the only downside to this stroller is the storage basket underneath – it isn’t huge but handy enough to pop in a bit of shopping or a packed lunch, nappy bag and some waterproofs if you are heading out for the day.

Compared to the City Tour it is slightly more weighty and bulkier when folded up so isn’t so easy to travel with but still ridiculously more convenient than your average stroller or travel system. I love the fact it folds up so quickly and simply and takes up hardly any room in your boot, and makes getting on and of public transport a breeze. If you love to explore and head out on adventures with your little one in tow, and need a great set of wheels to make those treks a little less tedious, then this stroller is the perfect addition to an active family.
