Bobbi Brown Glow Stick

Sunshine in a stick? Yes please Bobbi Brown! The brand have just launched their Follow The Sun collection and one of the most exciting products to be released are the new Glow Sticks which impart radiant glow (obviously!) and warmth to the skin. I love a stick applicator as they are so easy to swipe on, blend in and go and you don’t need lots of other tools with you to make them work. They travel well and you can precisely pop the product exactly where you want it on your face. The Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick is a winner if you like this type of fuss-free application. But anyway, I deviate…

The new Glow Sticks from Bobbi Brown come is eight different shades and boast an ultralight, creamy consistency that swipes and glides onto the skin effortlessly – any place where the sun would naturally warm and bronze your skin, so cheekbones, forehead, bridge of your nose and even your collarbone. The formula applies well but quite heavily onto the skin but with a gentle blend out with your fingertip, you are left with a warm, slightly shimmery shade that instantly fakes a bit of sunshine. If you enjoy wearing lighter makeup during the summer then these glow sticks would be great to apply onto moisturised skin. With a dab of concealer your complexion would look perky and glowy without the need for layers of foundation. They are quite emollient so the finish can look quite glossy, so a light touch when it comes to application is a must!

I have the shade Island which is a gorgeous golden-bronzy colour with a slight sparkle. The other Glow Sticks are all a mixture of shimmer, soft shimmer and flat finishes in a variety of shades that will either highlight or add a warm hue to your complexion, depending on your skin tone and where you decide to apply them. I love these Glow Sticks – they are illuminating, warming, super quick and easy to apply and with the most beautiful, sunny shades in the collection they really are your tropical vacation in a stick!
