That iconic 90s perfume, Thierry Mugler’s Angel, has recently been reinvented and launches this month with the tag line – “the new fragrance you will hate to love #HateToLove” and is fronted by Georgia May Jagger. The original Angel revolutionised the world of perfumery and I vividly remember it being the perfume to wear during my schooldays and could always be found at the bottom of my gym bag! Anyone else?
The new Angel Muse Eau de Parfum couldn’t be more different from its predecessor, in appearance and in scent. The bottle breaks away from those well-known angular facets and welcomes a smooth, curvaceous cosmic pebble bottle. The crystal heart bearing the imprint of the Angel star is encapsulated by an elliptical silver metal ring mirroring the fashion line designed by David Koma. A truly beautiful looking bottle. The scent has been described as a new gourmandise between cosmic explosion and magnetic attraction. It offers us a duo of aromas – the highly addictive hazelnut cream and the woody, elegant vetiver. A real mesh of sweetness and smoothness with a hint of masculinity and floral rose. This Eau de Parfum is very different but very intriguing and definitely worth a sniff when you are out and about and passing a perfume counter next month. I would love to hear your thoughts on whether Angel Muse could possibly become as popular at the original Angel?
