My MAC eye shadow pro palette

Would you believe that despite owning every MAC lipstick under the sun and a plethora of their face products and primers, I have never indulged in their individual eyeshadows…until now! I wanted to start my own MAC eyeshadow quad with four versatile shades that I can chuck in my makeup bag to fulfil every need and occasion.

I got the ball rolling with Cranberry and Mythology – a frost and a lustre finish respectively, which represent two of my favourite colours to wear. MAC Cranberry has been on my lust-list for a while now and I think it is such a striking colour and works beautifully all over the eyelids, or buffed into the crease. It is a warm red-plum with a pink/violet shimmer running through it. Mythology is a bronzed-copper shade that is my failsafe colour of choice when wanting a quick and simple eye look.

Two lonely spaces in my palette remain vacant which I want to fill up pronto. I think I need to find a neutral/beige shade to wear as a base and then another shadow to act as a highlight for my brows and the inner corners of my eyes, and then my palette shall be complete.

What shadows do you suggest I go for to finish off my foursome?

Everyone seem to be going crazy for MAC palettes now! The colours you've picked so far are very adventurous (for me 😉 ). I can't wait to see what else will you choose!

I would definitely invest in Vanilla e/s as a matte highlight, and Crystal Avalanche, maybe not so much as a highlight, but it goes lovely in the inner corner. Wedge is a colour I like to apply on my lid, and also Woodwinked is a beautiful lid colour. Wow, there's more that I could recommend! I love the day I got all my individual MAC eyeshadow's in a palette!

I think everyone needs naked lunch in their palettes! But it kind of works as a highlight or a lid colour- it's a soft shimmery slightly pinky cream colour. Era or Arena are great lid colours though and Nylon is my favourite tear duct colour- it's super bright and eye opening!!

Go for Vanilla for your highlight shade, it's just perfect!

Although it doesn't fit the requirements for your next two colours, I absolutely adore Coppering and Antiqued. They're in a similar vein to Cranberry, with Antiqued being slightly more brown. I love using Coppering with Cranberry for that red Olsen-esque look! x

I love the MAC qauds they're so easy to use when I don't feel like carting my 15 pan palette round with me 🙂
Ricepaper is good as a neutral base, I sometimes use it as a highlight as well if I'm feeling a bit lazy and Blanc Type is a lovely highlight colour.

I love cranberry, it's so beautiful in the crease. Try Sable, it's a lovely plumy brown. Sometimes I use it by itself and it's a really easy simple smokey eye.

I have some MAC eyeshadows and love them! They may be expensive but worth the extra money. I think Cranberry is next on my list to buy x

I wear Cranberry loads, such a gorgeous colour, and it goes well with patina, which is a pale gold. If you want a matte highlight, Brule is lovely, but maybe Nylon if you wanted something shimmery…

I know this is an old post and you might already have it by now but have to recommend Naked Lunch. I heard everyone talking about it on youtube and bought it, tried it and I am addicted. Find myself reaching for it almost every day. It goes well with any look be it color, smokey, neutral, whatever. Should at least swatch it. 🙂
