Clarins Joli Rouge lipsticks* £16.50 each

The new Clarins Colour Breeze Spring Collection is out and sees a host pretty pastel products encapsulating radiant tones and candy colours to enhance and illuminate. It is a wonderfully bright and breezy collection with a mix of fresh new shades and modest hues to really bring a breath of Spring air into your new season’s makeup.

The Colour Breeze Collection brings us four new Joli Rouge lipsticks, bursting with juicy colours, a sweet berry scent and a high gloss finish. Its the mango butter in these lipsticks which gives the lips a super-smooth reflective surface, whilst keeping them moisturised and protected. The packaging is extremely slick; a chunky silver tube with the Clarins’ C etched on the lid. And the icing on the cake was the moment I popped the lid and revealed the embossed Clarins logo on the lipstick – there is something so simple yet so divinely decadent about this, I am always suckered in.

Joli Rouge Sheer lipstick in 15. Pink Magnolia
a sheer wash of mauve-pink, this lipstick is subtle but extremely flattering, giving the lips a delightful berry tinge. It has such a gorgeous glossy finish and feels so moisturising.

Joli Rouge Sheer lipstick in 16. Pink Coral
a perfect peachy-coral lipstick with a slight frosty finish and delicate gold reflects that glisten in the light. It has almost a balm-like texture and gives the lips a delicious fruity glaze.

Joli Rouge lipstick in 734. Poppy Red
Definitely the winner of the show here. It doesn’t exactly follow suit amongst the other pretty pastel hues, but this red lipstick is incredible. Poppy Red is so pigmented, so shiny and stays on the lips for ages without drying in the slightest.

Joli Rouge lipstick in 735. Baby Pink
This lipstick looked so appealing and perfectly pink in the tube but unfortunately was my least favourite. The texture was quite gritty, with its chunky silver glitter, and I didn’t think the coverage or staying power was particularly great. Probably one best worn over another lipstick to add sparkle and a glossy finish.

These lipsticks, along with the rest of the collection, are available online now.

I love the look of these, they seem to have just that perfect amount of shine which is not too matte, but not too gloopy.

They look a tiny bit too glittery and shiny. Although that's not too bad for spring/summer 🙂
